Vintage Ibanez ‘87 JEM777-LNG “Loch Ness Green” Monster - Steve Vai Signature #80 with Edge Tremolo 1987 with HSC

No true guitar collection is complete without this all original grail unicorn. This is the most elusive and otherworldly Ibanez of them all, the vintage original 1987 JEM777 in the most sought after color of them all, LNG “Lock Ness Green,” with a super low serial number, in amazing condition and original case & paperwork. This is NOT a reissue. Set up perfectly and ready to be the crown jewel of your collection. Check out the pics and attached video for more details. Make me a fair market offer. Worst I can say is no. Sometimes labeled the 777-LG, this green grail guitar has a super low serial number, #80 and in fantastic shape for its age. One owner, player guitar condition as shown, purchased in 1987 (original store tag included!) and stored in its case in a bedroom closet until 2025. Dubbed the “Green Monster,” this guitar has been fully refurbished and perfectly set up May 2025 for this sale. It is 100% original and comes with tons of extras too, all listed below. This particular one is exceptionally rare due to the very low serial number and ultra rare original case and strap!Of all the 777 ever made, units with serials below serial #100 are considered far more valuable and in the ultra-rare, low serial category. You almost never see them with the original case anymore either, featuring the elusive pink silk screened logo on the black tolex, with the matching pink velvet inner lining in immaculate shape. Dive bomb the whammy bar all the way down until the strings are flopping around and then let them shoot back into perfect intonation, time after time, all while never needing a tuning. The guitar was freshly set up and detailed with a new set of GHS Boomers in May of 2025 (guitar is set up to play with 9’s). Included is a step by step instruction pamphlet on how to set the guitar up with another gauge if you’d like, and a ton of other helpful measurements and guides. The guitar has never been dropped or damaged or repaired. I was informed the guitar lived its entire life in the original owners climate controlled, smoke and pet free bedroom closet and never left the case, except to be occasionally played. It does have a few age appropriate dings as any played guitar does, but it’s super clean where it matters most (especially the perfect, unchipped pointed headstock). To reset the combination, set the correct combination to “000”, then slide and hold the square lever to the right…while holding the lever to the right, select the NEW combination numbers and then let go of the square lever.
