*PopSyca* Double/Reversed P5

This project started over 8 years ago back in Tennessee, when i saved several slabs of Spalt and Burl Sycamore from a FIRE on a jobsite... Around that same time, i had salvaged a hybrid Poplar trunk after a nasty storm took out the top...After a long seasoning, I wedged Sycamore Burl and PurpleHeart slices between the Poplar to create a 9-pc body blank, originally shaped like an oversized *Jaguar* bass. Then, several years of waiting for its turn on the bench, and I recently decided to reshape it into something much closer to my own proprietary YARAH body style... A reshaped headstock on a Fender-licensed neck was capped with Sycamore Burl *snakeskin* grain to match the body top...I had wanted to build a double/reversed-P for years, so not only was THIS the perfect opportunity, but i also decided to do so inside a unitized one-piece Spalted Sycamore *ramp* ~ equipped with custom-wound Ulyate Instruments pickups: (*Vintage* tone in the NECK position, and *Modern/HOT* voicing in the bridge spot...)Ben at *ProTones* Orlando crafted a dual concentric/stacked *Volume-over-Tone* solderless harness for me, with a .22 Orange Drop cap for the vintage, and .47 Orange Drop cap on the modern ~ creating an UNBELIEVABLY broad tonal range on this baby! They're also covered with Spalted Sycamore, to match the ramp...BABICS Full-Contract bridge, AllParts lightweight tuners, Dunlop Strap locks, and S.I.T.
