Kawai
Kawai CB-2V Banjo Guitar 1968 - White - Sunburst Back
$799.99Â
This guitar is in overall very good condition. It appears to be all original. This was made by Kawai after they bought Teisco in 1968. It is a guitar but shaped like a banjo. All Kawai banjitars share the model name CB-2V (the CB stands for concert banjo), even though they were sold under different brands—Splendor and Winston, I'm not sure which one this is as the plate has fallen off. These were only made in 1968 (along with a bunch of other crazy Kawai-built guitars) and were primarily sold in Japan. This guitar has two pickup switches, a volume and tone knob, and, unfortunately, one of the worst of the Kawai tremolo units. The CB-2V has a 24" scale and a thin laminated neck. Gig bag included.Truss rod works, all tuning machines work, all electronics function as they should with no noise or crackling. Binding is in very good condition. Frets are in great condition as well. Fretboard looks good, all inlays are solid.Action is a little high, but neck is straight. Neck would need to be shimmed to lower it.
