2012 Gibson Billie Joe Armstrong Les Paul Junior Double Cut – Very Good+ / All Original / w/ Leopard-Skin Gig BagUp for sale is my 2012 Gibson Billie Joe Armstrong Les Paul Junior Double Cut, in very good+ condition and 100% original — including the rare Gibson soft-shell leopard-print gig bag that came with this signature model.This U.S.-made Les Paul is a killer example of Gibson’s short-run collaboration with Green Day’s frontman, delivering that unmistakable punk bite and vintage rock feel.Key SpecsModel Year: 2012Body: Solid mahoganyNeck: Mahogany, slim ’60s profile but fairly broad like a great C shape early 60’s Telecaster.Weight: 6lbs., 6oz. Super light. A total ringer—very resonant & loud acoustically. Fingerboard: Granadillo, dot inlays. This fingerboard appears not as reddish as others of same wood species. Very Rosewood-like in terms of aesthetics, feel & resonance. Super hard species & phenomenal grain characteristics.Pickup: Gibson H-90 (Billie Joe spec — hum-canceling P-90 character). Original H-90 included in sale (see pics) along with current Gibson CS P90 which is installed. Many folks have probably not had the opportunity to try the H-90 which came stock in this guitar!?! It’s a pretty “rare bird”, so to speak. Good sounding p’up, w/ no hum thanks to its “dummy coil” installed below the baseplate & magnets (see pics). It shouldn’t be confused w/ the P100 humbucker as it’s still a single coil design. I just prefer a P90, is all, & I don’t mind dealing with the noise as I’ve used them in many of my guitars for years & prefer the sound. The H-90 is pretty cool in its own right & sounds great. Just a little bit “muffled” sounding to me as it seems to lose a bit of the mid-range “spank” of classic P90? But if you dig a P90 sound w/ no feedback issues, then pop the original H-90 back in & you’re all set! Again,… not a bad alternative to classic P90.Bridge: Vintage-style wraparound. Included in case is original Gibson aluminum vintage style wraparound, however, a Music City “Savvy” is currently in place. The intonation of original bridge was almost perfect, but would not intonate as well as the “Savvy”. I played her for years w/ the original Gibson design w/ little issues but the Savvy ticks all the boxes. Looks the same from stage but intonates perfectly. $150 improvement seemed worth it to me?Finish: TV Yellow, nitrocelluloseControls: Volume / Tone. Original black “witch hat” knobs are intact. I did add dial indicators which may be easily removed if so desired.ConditionThis one’s been played & gigged with a fair amount but very well cared for. There are some usual nicks & dings in the finish that she’s suffered from use (see pics). Frets show minimal use, neck is straight, truss rod fully functional, and electronics are clean.
