Fender Stratocaster 1965 - Sunburst with OHSC

I bought this Strat in 1984.It has the following modifications: expert refret a few years ago with vintage-correct medium-jumbo fretwire by the late, great Steve Helgeson (Moonstone Guitars); old 5-way switch; treble bleed circuit soldered to volume pot; rear tone knob connected to middle and rear pickups; middle pickup rewound RWRP, so the neck+middle and middle+rear pickup combinations are humbucking. Pickups read (through the output jack): neck 6.06k, middle 5.62k, bridge 6.44k--a nicely balanced set.So this is a vintage guitar in great shape with some practical improvements, most of which are reversible. The neck is fairly chunky, one of the main reasons I'm selling it--I'd prefer a slab board with a slimmer neck. Neck date is 2SEPT65B. Fret wear is minimal.The no-logo case is in great shape; no weird odors. Locks work. All hardware intact. I have the "ash tray" trem cover, which is in great shape, and will include it of course.The guitar is expertly set up with 10-46 strings; the trem stays in tune even with vigorous use. It even has the little black spring in the block which keeps the arm in whatever position you place it. This guitar will nail almost any Hendrix Strat tone, if you have the right amp and pedals. (And if you restrung it backwards and played it lefty like Jimi, I'm confident it would nail any Hendrix Strat tone.) If you tune the guitar down a whole step, the neck pickup nails the "Voodoo Child" tone if you play through a vintage Marshall or Bassman head--one of the best neck pickups I've ever used, and I've played many guitars.
