Fender Prosonic - LO Serial # - Combo Amp 1996 - Black

This amp is in very good condition. Front grill is clean and no tears in the tolex. There is a tiny crack in the top right hand corner of the cabinet. The Reverb tank has been replaced in 2018 with an accutronics & Belton. Footswitch not included. This amp has been inspected by our in house technician and is in perfect working order. This item is available for local pickup only in the Greenville - Spartanburg areas.This is a very early production unit - "LO" serial number: Early Prosonics with an "LO" serial number were made in the former Sunn factory in Lake Oswego, Oregon. These are generally believed to have been made with higher-quality components.The Fender Prosonic is a 60-watt, dual-channel, all-tube amplifier known for its high-gain channel and versatile power modes, including 60W (solid-state rectifier), 50W (tube rectified Class AB), and 30W (tube rectified Class A).Key features include a clean channel, tube-driven reverb, a fixed bias, and controls for Volume, Gain 1, Gain 2, Treble, Bass, Middle, and Master Volume. The amp uses four 12AX7 preamp tubes, two 6L6 power tubes, and a 5AR4 rectifier tube.  The Prosonic, produced between 1996 and 2002 features a blistering high gain channel that was designed to rival Mesa Boogie, and holds cult status among the musicians who swear by them.While appealing to the hard rock/metal crowd, the Prosonic also offers that classic clean channel and tube-driven reverb, so you still get those classic Fender tones, reminiscent of a black-panel Deluxe Reverb. The 3-way rectifier settings give players the option of tube rectified 30 watts rms Class A, tube rectified 50 watts rms Class A/B, and solid state diode rectified 60 watts rms Class A/B operating modes. The double gains allow you to sculpt some elegant breakup to down right mean distortion.The amp features a pair of Celestion G10 Vintage speakers.
