Epiphone Les Paul

For sale is this beautiful Epiphone Les Paul sunburst. It has the inset headstock (I guess they did this to keep the headstock from breaking off which sometimes happens with Les Pauls). 2 of the pictures show this inset. The only dings or scratches on the guitar are on the headstock where it looks like the finish was chipped from hanging the guitar on metal hooks, and one on the reverse side where the 3-way selector switch cavity cover is chipped by one of the screws.It comes with some modifications that are very useful. The highest ohms you will see in a 50s humbucker is 9k and they used Alnico 2 magnets. These pickups are hotter than regular 50's pickups being built with Alnico 5 magnets.  2nd Mod:  When I installed the pickups, I switched the volume knobs so that the bridge pickup is closer to you; on top. 3rd Mod: The tone pots also double as pickups splitters so you can get a variety of tones whether you're playing with bridge, neck or both in the middle position.This is a beautiful guitar, sounds great and you won’t be sorry you bought it. It only comes with a shoulder bag but you can replace that easily. The guitar sounds so much better with the new pickups. It is a killer guitar. Thanks for looking.
