Ashland made high quality mid-priced guitars in the 1990's-2010's. They were made in Korea, marketed mostly to the UK, and this was one of their better models. The action is low, the neck straight and comfortable. The frets are clean and have little wear. The electronics are all good. The pickups have been upgraded to high output hot-rails that have an edge with high gain but still sound smooth and rich when played clean. The guitar was upgraded with a Wilkinson trem that is smooth and looks neat and clean against the trans-purple body. The tuners were also upgraded along with the pickup surrounds, knobs and switch plates in gold to match the theme of the guitar. The guitar has had a full setup and intonation, general cleaning, De-Ox on the pots and output jack, freshly oiled rosewood fretboard, and new slinky strings. This guitar is ready to rock.
