1989 (estimated) Joe Pass Emperor II prototype

I found this guitar kinda buried behind a bunch of used guitars at a rural guitar store a couple years ago. It's condition was quite sad. Covered in dust, kinda caked on. Strings were rusty, and generally in sad shape.I bought it. Took it home, de-strung it, and spent the next couple days carefully removing the layers of yuck, grime and more. As it cleaned up, beneath all the crud was one of the most lively flamed backs I'd ever seen on a guitar. The pots were scratchy, so I cleaned out the controls, the jack, and now it's perfect. The chatoyance and movement on the back, is arguably the nicest I've ever seen. I put new nickel strings and the sound was incredible. Overall I'd say the guitar is 8.75-9 out of 10. I researched as much as I could and ended up speaking with an experienced Epiphone fella. I sent him all the pictures, and he said this was very likely a prototype using the best maple multi-lam which is common for any arched hollow body. I will consider reasonable offers. I do not have a case for it.
