1970 Martin D12-35

This is a fine example of a well aged Martin Guitar. I have a 1970 Martin D12-35 in amazing condition with the the old hard case. The body is beautiful, no cracks or dings anywhere. The one issue it has is a common occurrence on the older Martins. The procedure back in the 1970's was to put the Pick Guard on the guitar, then clear coat the surface. After 55 years the coating starts to shrink and pull back just a little and in doing so will pull back on the pick guard. Any Authorized Luthier can fix it. It is not a hard fix, but their are 2 schools of thought on the Fix. 1- To leave the guitar the way it is, in original condition, because it does not effect playability or sound quality. 2- To restore the Guitar to its former glory and have a "like new Old Stock" D12-35 I picked this guitar up in Jan 2025. Online average for this was $2,200-$2,600. Recent checks show significant Appreciation. Now $2,999-$3,500. Google it yourself. I am asking $2,500 with case. The sound that comes out of this guitar is incredible and booming. They are Appreciating fast. Possible partial trade for a BlueRidge BR-180 or 182 plus cash on your end.
