Taylor 616ce 2008
$2,000.00
I have here a beautiful Taylor 616ce from 2008. The finish is a deep, rich Cherry Black burst. It has a warm wine red coloring. The ebony fretboard is inlaid with pearl in a twisted-oval pattern and the rosette is abalone. As will all 6-series Taylors, this one has beautifully flamed solid maple back and sides and a solid Sitka spruce top. The flamed maple looks amazing with the wine red finish. There are a couple of minuscule specs in the back finish that I cannot capture in pictures. The only way I could see them was when the back was receiving full sunlight during the afternoon I polished it.The guitar plays beautifully very low action, a straight neck, and no fret-wear.Frets have been polished and the fretboard has been cleaned and conditioned. I think the maple suits this instrument perfectly because I’ve never heard the ES2 preamp system sound so glorious plugged in.Maple-bodied Taylors have a bright, focused tone that lends itself well to live playing or recording. This is one of the prettiest Taylors, and it delivers a rich, powerful acoustic voice. Taylor created and introduced the Grand Symphony (GS) body shape in 2006 ... Think of it as a Grand Auditorium (or a 614ce) with a turbo boost, thanks to expanded physical dimensions, including a slightly wider waist and a bigger lower bout. This amazing 616 comes with its original (and awesome in its own right) brown alligator-texture hardshell case.
