Plek machine. The frets are in brand new condition, as the guitar just received a 700$ compression refret by Strange Guitar Works in New Orleans 3 months ago. This was done to ensure that the neck will stay straight for decades to come. Since there are no truss rods in these models, I would highly advise that you get measurements before buying an authentic. We went with the exact same martin frets, only the tang is wider so as to compress and straighten the neck. It is a technique only highly experienced luthiers can accomplish with great accuracy, and he knocked it out of the park. He also set the action perfectly, reglued the binding in one spot, and installed the passive fishman pickup under the saddle. This guitar is heavenly to play and feel now. The relief was at .010" before the refret. It is now at .004". It's just straight as can be without buzzing. Unbelievable. They also glued/sealed a tiny crack that had began to form in the rosette near the neck. It was done before it got any bigger, and it is as if it never happened. The guitar intonates perfectly, and the crack had no negative effect whatsoever on the guitar. Please see pics. This work was done a few months ago, and I've only played the guitar a few times. I took it to Truetone Music in Santa Monica earlier this October to see what they thought, and everyone agreed that it was the best sounding guitar in their entire acoustic room. We must have played 20 guitars next to it. It will be missed; but ala's, I have to let go of some great gear this winter for family reasons. I am sure it will make someone incredibly happy for years to come. This particular guitar has great bass response and is really sweet. It has no boxiness whatsoever. Please check out the quick iphone video I posted to youtube. No fancy mics, still sounds epic and roomy. There is some light play wear in a few spots, please see pics. Otherwise, the guitar remains in glossy, excellent condition. It has developed a wonderful light brown patina from 10 years of being loved. I'm sure it will continue to age well. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions. Comes in the original case and will be shipped incredibly well. I have shipped over a hundred guitars now, and I've never had a single problem yet. Cheers!Sincerely,Craig
