Goncalo Alves is a dense, tropical hardwood from Central and South America prized for its striking appearance. Its reddish-brown heartwood features irregular, dark brown to black streaks, resembling tiger stripes. This durable wood is used for high-end furniture, cabinetry, architectural paneling, and decorative items, and is known for its stiffness and strength. It resonates very well.
