Rayco
2004 Rayco Sq Neck Resonator Guitar originally owned by Jerry Douglas
$4,995.00Â
This Rayco Resophonic Guitar was owned by Jerry Douglas.Jerry played this guitar at the Edmonton Folk Festival in 2004 with Alison Krauss & Union Station and loved it. Mark Thibault presented it to him at the festival. He builds some world class guitars, and this is one of them. Jerry said, "I'm sure I took it to Nashville sessions after I got it, but too many guitars for this hoarder."Used on the Alison Krauss & Union Station video for "Goodbye Is All We Have" Jerry arrived at a video shoot for the song "Goodbye Is All We Have" and realized I had forgotten his pick bag.So, no slide! "I borrowed a spark plug socket from a bus driver and just got by with that."SN: 019 Beautiful tiger striped flame maple with a hint of orange. Natural maple bound as well. I've owned exceptional Scheerhorn resonator guitars and Beard Resonator Guitars and I can confidently say this all-flame maple dobro sounds amazing! Loud, warm and articulate. Tone and playability that is on par or that exceeds the fore-mentioned instruments. Will ship fully insured with delivery confirmation and a signed Certificate Of Authenticity from Jerry Douglas. He left his original strings in the case when he restrung it before selling it to me. Only selling to cover some medical expenses. I'll surely miss it.Please message me with any questions! Thanks.
