flambeau

1980's Flambeau 12 string guitar

$200.00

There are minor dings on the back of the neck and a few scratches chips on the front. But nothing really noticeable or that affects playability.Over the years, Flambeau guitars have become a highly regarded brand in the acoustic guitar field, largely due to their association with George Lowden, a renowned luthier from Northern Ireland. He designed the guitars which were then built in the S.Yairi factory in Nagoya under this brand name between 1981-1984. All LFW models together made only about 1500 guitars produced in total!Flambeau guitars are known for their warm, full tone with a good balance between bass, midrange and treble. The meticulous Japanese craftsmanship and choice of materials give these guitars excellent playability.Due to their limited production and high quality, Flambeau guitars are now generally rare and highly prized collectors' items. They were often produced in small series or even as unique pieces. The LFW-1 was the most common, but a 12 string version like this is an extremely rare find. Even more so in this splendid condition with only minor wear after more than 40 years. The LFW-1-12 has a classic spruce top - mahogany body combination and is easy to play. The truss rod can be adjusted, with a standard key.
