1973 Gibson Les Paul Black Beauty FW Embossed pups

This 73 LP Custom Black Beauty is in 100% playable condition and is NOT fake distressed. It is 100% real wear from it being professionally played in clubs for decades. It is a real professional musician's working machine, as funky as they come. While the body was not babied (at all), it has 0 playing issues and is a perfectly stable axe.Pups and toggle are original to the guitar. Most of the pots are too. Original small speed frets (with binding nibs) have 0 wear and have been crowned beautifully. There is plenty of meat on them for being the smaller speed frets.It has an old (before me) VERY stable splined headstock repair that follows the line of the volute. This has no doubt made the weakest part of the guitar stronger than original. 0 issues but the finish is worn from there. Again, part of this guitar's mojo.The guitar has been pot-dated to 1973 (yes, embossed pup Gibson's went into early 1973, although the embossed pups were only an option in 1972- ( Gibson never started or stopped any feature on a dime as they always waited till they depleted their stock of parts, especially gold parts that were only on their elite instruments).Aside from the nicotine darkened bindings and the old professionally-fixed headstock repair, the ebony fretboard, the speed frets, the pearloid position markers, the neck joint and the electronics are all in 100% tip-top condition for a 52 year old Les Paul. Even the truss rod is still effective (so many old Gibsons we see on our bench every year have ineffective truss rods due to improper adjustment).It has the original small speed frets and fret binding nibs. The frets have been lovingly leveled and crowned at my shop so there is absolutely no fretwear whatsoever. The smaller frets with a crown make intonation super accurate.When I received this guitar about 20+ years ago, it had no tuners, no bridge, no stop bar, no knobs and no jack or jack plate. It had been found at a famous night club / restaurant on an island off the East Coast where many famous players have played for decades. It had been left there for years sitting back stage in a case and stripped of its easily removable parts. I put back on it what replacement parts I had in stock at the time and have never looked back. Later, I installed the correct gold waffle back tuners. It has a newer ABR-1 bridge and stop bar in gold that I always wanted to find authentic replacements, but just haven't spent the time searching simply because the replacements serve just fine- you can find them and significantly increase the value of this vintage axe if you wish.BTW, I see many other examples of this same guitar for significantly more $$$, but many are case queens with 0 mojo.
