14x6.5 2 ply, exotic Jatoba prototype, steambent semi-solid snare drum Shell by Erie drums and shells. It is made from 2 plies of 1/8" thick steambent exotic hardwood with a 1/4" total thickness. Our new 2 ply semi-solid shells give you all the purity of tone of a solid shell steambent, but without the restrictions to openness of tone caused by reinforcement rings. These are extremely open and full in tonal range, but much more controlled than a traditional steambent. The shells are 1/4" thick. This is a bare shell with no edges or beds. Thanks for looking.This is a protype shell, we were testing out if our newer methods we use to make the semi-solid shells would allow us to do the super dense exotic woods without using chemicals to bend them, it turns out it does work. prototypes like this are good strong stable shells that will work and sound like they should, but may have minor cosmetic flaws such as more visible glue lines etc. these exotics will be in the $250 range once they are all worked out completely, so it's a good chance for a deal on an exotic shell.Free Shipping to the USA if paid through Venmo Or Cash App
