14x5.75 Honey Locust 2 ply semi solid steambent snare drum, hand made in summit county Ohio by Erie drums and shells. It has a 1/4" thick shell, it is made from 2 plies of steam bent local hardwoods. It is Made from 2 plies of local Honey Locust. I mis-labelled the wood when i signed the drum, it is honey locust not black locust. Our new 2 ply design gives you all the purity of tone of our solid steambent shells, but without the reinforcement rings. This helps the tone relax and expands the range in mid to low tunings and adds openness to the tone. It has our renowned hand rounded 45 degrees edges, 10 lugs, gibralter style strainer, 20 stand wires, 1.6mm triple flanged hoops. It is signed and dated.
