13x5.5 Elm / Poplar steam bent semi-solid snare drum by Erie drums and shells

13x5.5 REd elm on the outside, Polplar on the inside, 2 ply semi solid steambent snare drum, hand made in summit county Ohio by Erie drums and shells. It has a 1/4" thick shell, it is made from 2 plies of 1/8" thick local red oak. This is our new colored oil finish, it's our same traditional all natural oil finish, we just figured out how to dye it, same great tone and natural wood look, just more colorful.Our new 2 ply design gives you all the purity of tone of our solid steambent shells, but without the reinforcement rings. This helps the tone relax and expands the range in mid to low tunings and adds openness to the tone. It has our renowned hand rounded 45 degrees edges, 8 lugs, Gibraltar style strainer, 20 stand wires, 1.6mm triple flanged hoops and evans heads. It is signed and dated.
