Fender Contemporary Stratocaster HSS 1985-86 with hardshell case

1985-86 Fender contemporary stratocaster. Humbucker Single Single pickups. The bad: Small gash on the 13th fret that does not affect play and easily repaired. 2 lock nuts are missing. Whammy bar is missing. All missing parts are available at whammyparts.com. Input jack is shaky but functional, Pickup selector works but is intermittently dropping out. Volume and tone knobs are functioning but need to be tightened up. Plenty of scratches and nicks front and back. The good - this is an early superstrat made in the fujigen (Ibanez) factory in Japan. It sounds and plays amazing. The frets have a lot of life left in them. It stays in tune as it is with old strings and no setup It has what looks like a vintage mighty mite pickup in the bridge that absolutely screams and has incredible sound. It is a shred machine with a variety of tones at your disposal. It is a semi rare axe. It is an excellent candidate for rehab/minor project. With 100 bucks or less in parts you can have this bad boy back up to snuff. You can classify this axe right next to lower end charvels/jacksons and higher end kramers from the same era.
